I love finding clothes that I can wear all the time without feeling like I’m wearing the same clothes… ALL THE TIME. Considering I limit the colors I wear down to about 3 or 4 shades, making each outfit different or unique can get pretty difficult.

Sooooo… this Adidas Originals maxi is EVERYTHING because it works for literally any occasion. Well, besides weddings, maybe… but if you’re wearing Adidas to a wedding, that’s a whole other issue.

(We’ll save wedding attire for a later blog)

Meet my new favorite skirt:

Paired with my Superstars and a baseball crop from Forever 21:

OR head to toe Adidas:

Which may seem like overkill, but black and white never, ever looks “too much.”

Trust me… I wear it everyday.

Now, here’s where the transformation happens:

In order to dress up a seemingly casual piece, everything else needs to change.

For a subtle pop of color, these pink heels are from Guilty Soles which I matched with a pair of drop earrings, but really, I kept it close to home in black and white throughout the day just because that’s my thing. I’m (slowly) working on integrating more color into my life, but until then, I am definitely grateful that one of my favorite brands fits perfectly into my penguin wardrobe.

Everybody should own a few versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down throughout the day. There is zero fun in having to wait two weeks before you can wear a skirt for a second time.

Friday to FriYAY didn’t require any major changes because the way I look at it is

the less you have to try, the better.
